Station Statement of Significance:
The station building at Birregurra was constructed in 1877 for the Victorian Railways Department. It features polychromatic brickwork walls and chimneys with a bracketted cornice made from slate flagging. In common with other stations of the day, it includes a residence for the station master and a bellcast iron verandah along the platform elevation.
